On April 24, 2019, the Union of Comoros was hit hard by Cyclone Kenneth, which affected 345,131 people, including more than 185,000, very severely.
In order to prepare estimates of damage, losses and needs, the Government mobilized and coordinated groups from several sectors composed of representatives of the State, the population, the private sector, national and international experts during a period of two months , covering the following sectors: agriculture, livestock and fisheries, housing, education and social protection, health and nutrition, water and sanitation, energy, infrastructure and transport, environment, private sector, disaster risk reduction and macroeconomic framework.
This report presents the results of 2 months of fieldwork and damage and loss assessments by the sector teams. It is made up of 3 chapters and 3 Annexes including the total budget and by sector of the recovery plan.
