Mid-Term Review on implementing the National Emergency Response Mitigation and Adaptation Plan (2016-2022)

The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) commissioned a Mid-Term Review (MTR) in November 2016 supported by the Swaziland UN Country Office focusing primarily on the period beginning from the National Emergency Response Mitigation and Adaptation Plan (NERMAP) launch (February 2016) to December 2016.

This report presents findings, conclusions, recommendations and lessons learnt from the implementation of the NERMAP during the period mentioned above. The review team assessed the effectiveness and results of how the implementation of the plan contributes towards responding to the effects of the El Niño induced drought and what changes need to be made to the plan for it to remain relevant to the purpose for which it was designed.
