The National Strategy for Risk and Disaster Management (SNGRC in french) is a strategic instrument with national scope, applicable during the period 2016-2030, which has for vision a nation resilient to shocks, protected from all damage, in its social and cultural dimension, economic and environmental for sustainable development.

The overall objective of the document is to establish risk and disaster management as a pillar of sustainable development. The strategy also aims to eliminate hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition. The goal is to make food production systems and livelihoods more resilient to promote food and nutrition security for communities in the face of hazards.
