This Strategic Plan focuses on the key strategic outcomes that the Office of the Vice President (OVP) intends to deliver in the next 5 years from 2017. The OVP is constitutionally a delegated office and as such, departments under it may not be the same in the life span of the Strategic Plan. This aspect has been taken into account when developing the Strategic Plan.
At the time of developing it, the OVP had four Departments namely: Department of Disaster Management Affairs, National Public Events, Public Sector Reform Management Unit (PSRMU) and Office of the Vice President (Headquarters).
The strategic outcomes therefore have covered the mandates and functions of the respective organs while the general mandate, Vision and Mission have been generic to accommodate institutional changes that may happen within the implementation of the Strategic Plan.
