The overall object of this guide is to assess flood risk and vulnerability, pre-dimensioning road works and protective measures against damage, linked to floods.

Aware of the development challenges represented by risks and disasters, Madagascar finalized its first National Strategy for Risk and Disaster Management (SNGRC) in 2003. By being annexed to the national policy on risk and disaster management which was adopted during of the same year, this strategic document is an integral part of the said policy.

The Government has developed the National Resilience Strategic Framework (NRSF) to enable it to guide, coordinate and lead the process of resilience building in the country to ensure that Lesotho find a durable solution to address the multi-faceted challenges posed by climate induced shocks and stresses.

The purpose of national disaster risk reduction policy is to provide a framework for effective planning and implementation of disaster risk reduction in Lesotho. More than 90 percent of disasters in Lesotho are related to climatic changes.

This Strategy aims to increase the resilience of agricultural livelihoods to contribute to enhanced food security and nutrition in Southern Africa through multisectoral, multi-hazard and multistakeholder consultations and joint interventions.

The African Risk Capacity (ARC) Strategic Framework for 2016-2020 outlines ARC’s vision, mission, and overarching strategic objectives for the coming five years. This framework sets out areas of thematic focus and the principles of engagement.

The National Climate Change Management Policy is a key instrument for managing climate change in the country of Malawi. 

The goal is to create an enabling policy and legal framework for a pragmatic, coordinated and harmonized approach to climate change management.
