Zimbabwe’s Climate Change Response Strategy mainstreams climate change through a sectorial approach to ensure that each sector implements adaptation and mitigation actions. Each sector will therefore be able to direct its project proposals to the appropriate funding mechanism.

The overall objective of the National Contingency Plan is to help ensure that Government, partners and civil society mount a timely, consistent and coordinated response to anticipated hazards during the 2012–2013 planning period in order to minimise potential humanitarian consequences and initiate linkages for the early recovery of affected communities. 

Build on the Sendai Framework and others in order to facilitate the identification of priority areas which must be integrated into the national development planning processes.

This national disaster management policy framework for Zambia is intended to help the disaster management regime to assume and play a coordinating and implementation role before, during and after disaster outbreaks.

The TEPRP is a Multi-Hazards functional plan that sets forth appropriate actions to be taken in response to an emergency or major disaster including potential or imminent threat of any event. The TEPRP aims to facilitate the coordination for the delivery of resources and services necessary to deal with the consequences of an emergency or major disaster.

The DEPRP, being a multi hazard and multi-stakeholder plan, outlines the basic functions and responsibilities to be undertaken by the district disaster management committee and all other relevant stakeholders including government and non-governmental organisations in emergency and disaster situations.

This strategic plan is a whole-of-government guiding document aimed at summarizing operations and activities among various stakeholders.

The National Avian and Pandemic Influenza Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (NAPIP), revises, updates and replaces the National Avian Influenza Emergency Preparedness and Response Strategic Plan (EPRP) of 2006/7-2008/9 which articulated measures for prevention of introduction or spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in United Republic of Tanzania.

The goal of this plan is to have an effective, efficient and well-coordinated health sector all hazards response system that will lead to reduction of mortality, morbidity, and disability.

The ACRP will serve as a roadmap for mainstreaming climate change within current agricultural policies, plans, and practices, as well as identifying gaps were new investments may be needed. It will be the guiding framework for a more comprehensive and consistent approach for confronting one of the major risks to current crop productivity and future investments.
