This report sets out INFORM's vision for the future, includes the latest results of the Global Risk Index, as well as a prototype version of the INFORM Global Crisis Severity Index, which will be published as a beta version in 2019.

The aim of this report was to highlight existing capacities, challenges and gaps, as well as make recommendations for strengthening national and local capacities regarding DRR (including climate change risks) through key sectors.

This report describes the concept and methodology of the composite Index For Risk Management (INFORM). An initial version (version 2014) was completed and a first report published in January 2014, and was used in a 10 month process of peer review, user consultation and methodological improvements.
