Assessment on the disaster risk reduction capacity and adaptation to climate change - Union of the Comoros

The aim of this report was to highlight existing capacities, challenges and gaps, as well as make recommendations for strengthening national and local capacities regarding DRR (including climate change risks) through key sectors.

The diagnosis was carried out by a multidisciplinary team and aims to contribute to the updating of the National DRR Strategy of the Union of the Comoros and its Plan of Action planned for 2020, to highlight the priorities related to risk reduction within the framework of the implementation of the Comoros Emerging Plan which represents the development vision of the country, as well as better framing the integration of DRR aspects and adaptation to climate change in sectoral policies.
